CROSSED UP REVIEW
f t c: I was sent a free copy of this book from Smith Publicity in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
Summary: This book is about a basketball team that gets caught up in pirate business.
I'll be honest in saying I got about 10% into this very short read before stopping and just admitting it would be a DNF.
There are multiple perspectives in this book, but no distinct voices for any of the characters. It's written in a very one-dimensional stream-of-consciousness style that I felt could have been executed better.
There is no buildup, the stakes seem lackluster, and the characters are more just delivery=people for the plot than anything.
I was initially intrigued by the premise and unique idea, but the book isn't written well and therefore I can only give it 1/5 stars.
